Who's That Girl...It's Jess!


I'm an all American girl made in China. After being adopted, I've lived in Florida for practically my whole life and was ALWAYS at the beach or in the water.


I went to college at Florida State University for Psychology where I met, Matt. No, it's not what you think, we didn't have a meet cute at a football game or in the library...we met on Tinder. Yep. I found my first love and the man of my dreams on TINDER. And we got married!! *sighs dreamily* We have two energetic pups together, Dexter and Cooper. Fun fact, Matt proposed with Dexter when he was a puppy and I BAWLED my eyes out. Hysterically.


Matt and I moved to South Dakota in August of 2020 and we are so excited to be in an area with mountains and a plethora of things to do - especially since my experience with the outdoors was either in the form of salty water and sand or anywhere there were mosquitos and gnats...which was everywhere.


You can find me hiking with Matt and our boys, rewatching shows and movies I've already seen, or thrifting for second hand finds. I love potatoes in all shapes and sizes, I am a sucker for some vegan chicken nuggets, and I LOVE to cook - almost as much as I enjoy consuming my creations.

I'm not gonna give you one of those, "I've been into photography for years and finally picked up a camera," sort of spiels (even though it's totally true). However, I've always been infatuated with relationships and love - I was boy crazy way back in the day and my daydreams were my LIFE, haha.


I found that I really value genuine connection (of ALL kinds and between all sorts of people because LOVE IS LOVE) and how it's expressed to one another. Call me a hopeless romantic or watching too many rom-coms in my formative years, but I think that love is - simply beautiful; often overlooked and taken for granted.


Falling in love with someone and having them love you back is UNREAL. It's unlike any other connection you have with anyone else. Sometimes I think we get so caught up in the day to day and forget to cherish that one person in our life that values us most.


I'm here to help you realize that there's extraordinary in the everyday and what you have is MAGICAL. Let's celebrate how amazing you guys really are. I'll see you behind the lens!
